Abstrak

This study examines the effectiveness of the storytelling method on language skills through picture storybooks for children aged 5-6 years at Permata Bahari Islamic Kindergarten. This study aims to improve the ability of speaking skills in Ar-Rahim class students. The research subjects were 4 children aged 5-6 years, consisting of 2 boys and 2 girls. The data collection technique is using observation, interviews, and documentation. The research method is quantitative. The results of this study showed an enthusiastic attitude in students when listening to the illustrated story. And shows an increase in the effectiveness of the storytelling method on language skills through picture storybooks for children aged 5-6 years at Permata Bahari Islamic Kindergarten.
