PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN REPRESENTASI MATEMATIS DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN

Di Indonesia kemampuan representasi matematis dan motivasi siswa masih rendah. Rendahnya kemampuan representasi matematis dan motivasi siswa cenderung disebabkan oleh penggunaan media pembelajaran yang tidak tepat. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji tentang pengaruh sebuah media pembelajaran berbasis articulate storyline 3 terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Kuantitatif melalui metode Quasy Eksperimental Desain . Penelitti melakukan penelitian di SMP Negeri 3 Jati Agung, dengan jumlah populasi sebanayak 232 siswa di kelas VIII. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan cara cluster random sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas VIII. A dan VIII.C sebagai sampel.Dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti melakukan wawancara, penyebaran angket, tes, serta dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes esai dan angket, serta menguji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji manova ( Multivariate Analysis of Variance). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil kemampuan representasi matematis antara siswa berdasarkan media pembelajaran. Kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran Articulate Storyline 3 lebih baik dibandingkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa menggunakan media keterampilan dasar.
