Abstrak

Tingginya permintaan garam serta kurangnya tenaga kerja dan modal menyebabkan produksi garam lokal tidak dapat memenuhi kebutuhan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menentukan model fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh input tenaga kerja dan modal terhadap jumlah produksi garam yang dihasilkan, besarnya nilai elastisitas input, bentuk skala hasil (return to scale) serta gambaran permukaan industri garam di UD Sira Kajhu pada Januari 2020-Februari 2021. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah pendekatan metode Cobb-Douglas menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas, model yang didapat adalah  dengan besarnya nilai elastisitas input tenaga kerja yaitu sebesar 0,246 yang menunjukkan jika tenaga kerja mengalami peningkatan sebesar 1 rupiah maka produksi garam meningkat sebesar 0,246 rupiah dan nilai elastisitas input modal yaitu sebesar 0,548 yang menunjukkan jika modal mengalami peningkatan sebesar 1 rupiah maka produksi garam meningkat sebesar 0,548 rupiah. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan input modal lebih berpengaruh dibandingkan dengan input tenaga kerja. Kondisi skala hasil yang terjadi sebesar 0,794 menunjukkan bahwa industri berada pada kondisi decreasing return to scale dan gambaran permukaan geometri diferensial industri garam yang terbentuk adalah parabolik, yang berarti input tenaga kerja dan modal berpengaruh terhadap hasil produksi garam di UD Sira Kajhu.
