PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SQ3R TERHADAP NILAI MATA KULIAH STATISTIKA MATEMATIKA

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi nilai ujian mahasiswa angkatan 2016 pada tengah semester yang mengampu mata kuliah statistika matematika belum mencapai maksimal. Sebagian besar mahasiswa masih kesulitan memahami dan memaknai konsep statistika matematika untuk materi peluang sehingga mahasiswa merasa kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan baik soal latihan, kuis, maupun ujian. Peneliti selaku dosen pengampu mata kuliah statistika matematika merasa perlu untuk melakukan inovasi pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran SQ3R merupakan alternatif pembelajaran yang digunakan peneliti karena melalui model ini mampu memberikan pemahaman yang membantu mahasiswa berpikir tentang teks yang sedang dibaca terkait materi peluang sehingga mahasiswa mampu menyelesaikan bentuk permasalahan terkait peluang dengan berbagai kompleksitas problem soal. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga didapatkan mahasiswa angkatan 2016 kelas A dan kelas D sebagai sampel. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran SQ3R terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa angkatan 2016 kelas A dan D pada mata kuliah statistika matematika untuk materi peluang. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan oleh peneliti melalui teknik dokumentasi berupa nilai yang sebelumnya diperoleh dan tes yang diberikan oleh peneliti. Berdasarkan  uji analisis data menggunakan uji-t diperoleh bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran SQ3R terhadap hasil belajar matematika mahasiswa angkatan 2016 kelas A dan D.
