KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SISWA SMP PADA MATERI PERSAMAAN GARIS LURUS DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS APOS

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskripif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa SMP pada materi persamaan garis lurus dalam pembelajaran berbasis APOS di SMP Negeri 1 Palembang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes tertulis dan wawancara terhadap 4 subjek dan diperoleh informasi yang lebih mendalam. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman siswa pada tahapan-tahapan APOS (action, process, object, dan schema) pada materi Persamaan Garis Lurus di Kelas VIII.6 SMP Negeri 1 Palembang Semester Ganjil Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017 yaitu cenderung baik. Dari hasil analisis kemampuan pemahaman konsep per-indikator, ada satu indikator yang sering muncul yaitu indikator kemampuan menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep, dan ada satu indikator yang paling sedikit muncul yaitu indikator kemampuan mengaplikasikan konsep atau algoritma ke pemecahan masalah. Hal ini dikarenakan untuk mencapai indikator tersebut diperlukan pemahaman secara menyuluruh dari indikator yang lain, serta diperlukan kemampuan aktivitas prosedural dan konseptual.
