ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SISWA DITINJAU DARI GENDER

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa ditinjau dari gender. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah kelas VII MTS Roudlotut Tholibin Metro. Sampel diambil dari hasil wawancara dengan guru mata pelajaran. Kemudian 6 siswa diambil sebagai sampel karena dari hasil PTS sudah memenuhi kriteria sesuai indicator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika.indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika yang diambil yaitu memahami masalah, melaksanakan rencana, merencanakan penyelesaian dan memeriksa proses dan hasil. Instrument yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dalam bentuk tes uraian yang terdiri dari 2 soal mengenai materi segi empat. Dalam penelitian yang dilakukan pada tanggal 13 April 2022 diperoleh jawaban siswa dari soal yang diberikan kemudian dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Siswa pada tingkat memeriksa proses dan hasil siswa perempuan lebih mampu mencapai tingkat memeriksa proses dan hasil sudah terbukti dengan ketelitian yang ada pada jawaban siswa. Siswa laki-laki kurang teliti saat memasukkan nilai yang diketahui pada soal. sehingga siswa perempuan lebih mampu yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis.
