ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS PESERTA DIDIK DI BIDANG GEOMETRI PADA MASA TRANSISI PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstrak

Penelitian ini berfokus pada menganalisis kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik kelas 9 di SMP Negeri 20 Jakarta tahun ajaran 2022/2023 di Provinsi DKI Jakarta dalam penyelesaian masalah matematika di bidang geometri pada tingkat SMP. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualititatif deskriptif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas 9G dan 9I yang terdiri dari 35 peserta didik dan 38 peserta didik dengan total 73 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah 9 soal essai dengan indikator yang telah ditentukan yang telah divalidasi. Indikator dalam tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang digunakan adalah 1) Menjelaskan ide, situasi, dan relasi ke dalam bentuk matematika secara tertulis (Written Text); 2) Menggambar atau menjelaskan bentuk matematika dalam bentuk visual (gambar, tabel atau diagram) (Drawing); 3) Mengekspresikan dalam bentuk matematika atau menunjukkan situasi dengan bahasa atau simbol matematika (Mathematical Expression). Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa peserta didik dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis Written Text dipersentasekan sebesar 69%. Kemudian, peserta didik yang berkemampuan komunikasi matematis Drawing dipersentasekan sebesar 18,8%. Sedangkan, peserta didik dengan kemampuan Mathematical Expression dipersentasekan 30,1%.
