PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL KUBUS DITINJAU DARI LEVEL VAN HIELE

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi mengenai pemahaman konsep siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Dampelas dalam menyelesaikan soal kubus ditinjau dari level berpikir Van Hiele. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Dampelas sebanyak 3 siswa. Pemilihan subjek berdasarkan level berpikir Van Hiele. Data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini berupa hasil tes geometri siswa. Hasil tes siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal kubus. Instrumen penelitian ini terdiri dari Van Hiele Geometry Test (VHGT) untuk mengetahui level berpikir geometri siswa, soal tes pemahaman konsep dalam menyelesaikan soal kubus dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa yang berada pada level 0 berpikir Van Hiele hanya memenuhi satu indikator yaitu mengidentifikasi contoh dan bukan contoh. Kemudian siswa yang berada pada level 1 berpikir Van Hiele mampu memenuhi dua indikator yaitu menyatakan ulang konsep yang telah dipelajari dan mengidentifikasi contoh dan bukan contoh. Sedangkan siswa yang berada pada level 2 berpikir Van Hiele telah memenuhi semua indikator yaitu menyatakan ulang konsep yang telah dipelajari, mengidentifikasi contoh dan bukan contoh dan mengklasifikasikan objek menurut sifat-sifat tertentu sesuai dengan konsepnya.
