ANALISIS KESALAHAN SISWA SMP DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL MATERI LINGKARAN BERDASARKAN TAHAP NEWMAN

Lingkaran ialah sebuah materi yang hendaknya dipahami oleh siswa. Penelitian yang dilakukan memiliki tujuan memahami kesalahan apakah  yang diperbuat peserta didik dalam pengerjaan soal dalam materi lingkaran. Jenis penelitian ini diskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian tersebut dijalani melalui pemberian soal tes tertulis kepada 13 siswa kelas VIII di Pondok Pesantren Prof.Dr.HAMKA Maninjau. Data yang didapatkan selanjutnya dianalisa melalui pereduksian data, penyajian data, serta menarik kesimpulan. Kesalahan siswa saat menyelesaikan soal lingkaran yakni kesalahan reading (membaca) sebesar 14,00%. Kesalahan comprehention (memahami soal) sebesar 22,00%. Kesalahan transformation (transformasi) sebanyak 24,67%. Kesalahan process skill (kesalahan keterampilan proses) sebesar 16,00%. Kesalahan encoding eror (penulisan jawaban) sebesar 23,33%. Kebanyakan siswa membuat kesalahan transformation juga kesalahan saat menulis jawaban.
